     Program description

This program was developed for kids. The creators of this
program feel that more than any other kind of program, a word
processor can do much to help children to communicate through the
written word. While those word processors created for adults have
the features required for professional writing, they do not serve
children. They are simply too complex. This program's design goal
was to target beginning writers. Writing should be a fun
experience for kids opening a whole new world of communicating in
a new way. So far, many people seem enthusiastic about this
program. It can be used by very young children with but a brief
training period since the program only uses a few keys. It uses
the large type font typically taught in school rooms today and so
will be familiar to the kids.

Making a copy of this PCjr Club Disk

Before using this disk, you should make a working copy and
consider this disk the master. You can use the DISKCOPY command,
it will copy it as a bootable disk. Or, you can make a boot disk
and then copy just the program. Once you have done this you should
store this disk in a safe place.

Getting the Word Processor for Kids disk running

There is not much to starting this program. Simply place the
disk in your a: drive close the drive door and then turn on the
power to Junior. Remember put the disk in the drive before
starting up your machine. There is another way to start this
program. You could boot Junior with a DOS disk or boot disk and
then put this disk in Junior and at the A: prompt type in WPK, hit
the ENTER key and that's it. Good Luck! This is a cute program.
